There are plenty times we've all hoped a politician would just step in it. Congressman Tom Perriello did- his new ad captures him stepping in cow manure.

 

"My staff certainly had a lot of fun seeing me literally step in it and throw coffee all over myself. But the message is deadly serious which is we have been focused like a laser on jobs," Perriello said. 

 

Experts say that focus on issues, like jobs, helps viewers identify with a candidate.
